I'm going to give you one direct outreach method you can use to start prospecting eCommerce Brands and start filtering down opportunities for your pipeline.

I use this process and can stack up 3-6 quality appointments in an afternoon of work.
NDA's signed and financials in my hands within hours of the call sometimes.

Here's the process:
Step 1: Google "Top eCommerce marketing agencies" (you can also try "Top eCommerce SEO agencies, email etc.)
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Step 2: Notice there are lots of lists of top agencies, and what do successful agencies have? Success stories with eCom brands they've worked with. Go to one of the agencies websites and find "who we work with" or similar sections

Step 3: Scan the brands they've worked with until you spot one that's interesting, or go one by one if you have a broad acquisition target criteria.

Step 4: Plug the ecom store url into websiteseochecker.com/bulk-check-page-authority/ Now you can see the domain/page authority, site age, alexa score etc. Now plug the url into semrush.com (you can look up 3 per day for free) and you can see a graph of the organic traffic and where they stand among competitors. (you can prospect their competitors now if you'd like)

Step 5: Search the website for contact data and use hunter.io or rocketreach.co for additional contact data. Additionally search the (url) owner and find the name(s), you can do this through who.is sometimes the name will be shown sometimes not. Usually the owner of the website has a LinkedIn. Use email, contact forms, social media and the phone number, yes the phone number, pick up the phone and CALL.

*remember, everyone is just sending emails. You have to be aggressive and get NOTICED, use all forms of outreach. Very few people will call.

Step 6: Set up an intro call and begin your acquisition funnel.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not every call is going to be a winner but acquisitions is a bit of a numbers game and you only really need 1 or 2 acquisitions a year to be successful.

Direct outreach should be one of the methods in combination with others to see the best results in prospecting off market acquisition opportunities.
