What are the potential strategic objectives of merger and acquisition strategies?

Hey Legends!
I really like this M&A definition by investopedia.com: Mergers and acquisitions (M&As) are the acts of consolidating companies or assets, with an eye toward stimulating growth, gaining competitive advantages, increasing market share, or influencing supply chains.
The development of an acquisition strategy allows for identification of risks and consideration of tradeoffs needed to mitigate those risks. (HHS.gov)
As you may already know, the primary objective in M&A is always to grow the organization. As you can imagine, there are many potential strategic objectives, please check out the slide below:

The primary function of an acquisition strategy is to document the factors, approach, and assumptions that will guide acquisition decisions related to the investment. (HHS.gov)
